I'm Rob Kositchek
Director of Photography / Artist / Educator
With +30 years of experience this is what I have to say.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles. My education was at the Art Center College of Design where I studied Photography. My real education began in the studios of Hollywood as an Assistant Cameraman. Today I am a Cinematographer with extensive experience in television, feature, documentary and commercial production. Over the years I have worked on cutting edge projects such as 24, The X-Files and Roswell. I have lensed re-creations and documentary work for The History Channel.
Three times I have been recognized by the International Cinematographers Guild (ICG) for Outstanding Cinematography. In 2008, I received The Kodak Award for my work in creating and founding The Emerging Cinematographers Awards.I am well versed in traditional film technique and strive to create new directions with today’s digital technology. All this experience is shared abundantly with my professional clients and my students at the Art Center College of Design and The University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts where I instruct cinematography.
